Our Favorite Pro Teams Predictions 2K/2K+1 I'm submitting my picks for the 2000/2001 Soccer Season: SPL, EPL, Bundesliga, Serie A. Check them out: Click Here. So, here are our favorite teams. Soccer, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Ice Hockey, College and Pro. Since this site is devoted to a soccer team, links to soccer teams appear first. (For convenience sake, we refer to the game as 'soccer' so as not to confuse it with [American] football.]) I don't engage in those silly conversations about which is better-soccer or football. Like lots of our players, I love both. What you will NOT find in our pages are links to any of the following teams-the Glasgow Huns, Manchester United, Bayern München, Bayer, or Real Madrid. (I just checked through the TV guide here in Germany for the next two weeks. Is it a coincidence that Bayern's 100-Year Anniversary Tourney will include Manchester Utd. v. Real Madrid and Bayern v. Galatasaray? If only they would have secured the Huns for the match, I would believe in conspiracies.) Nor are there any for the Cowboys of Dallas, of course. Finally, nor will there be any links to any team from New York-Giants, Yankees, Mets, Jets, Knicks, or the hockey team with the same name and colors as the Glasgow Huns. Ok, so just take that in fun. It might be that, as Die Toten Hosen sing, 'We would never go to F.C. Bayern München (Wir würden nie zum Bayern München gehen),' but none of us hold anything against the wayward souls who identify themselves with the pernicious list above. Believe it or not, there are teams which we do love, whose fortunes affect our moods. Gameday you wake up all excited: tailgates in the parking lot before the game, or buying up the store at the supermarket if you can't make it live, you join in that community of fans around the world. It doesn't really matter, Catholic or Protestant, Jewish or Muslim; all that matters is if your team wins: that's the real religion. When they do, you celebrate as if they'd never won; if they lose, you scream at the coach or players or t.v. set in disbelief. Enough.
