Adventures in Fantasyland
It's surprising, isn't it? Somehow, I picked a team without knowing the players. Ok, I know who Quinn, Di Canio, Lennon, Scholes, and Izzet are. Still, I'm holding steady in 5th place with 14 points. Two other teams are right behind me with 13, though. Big Big day for transfers for my team. As you can see, I sold Pistone, Desailly, Nyarko, and Dodd; and bought in their place Ziege, Hyppia, Eustace, and Sharpe. Pistone was very doubtful, which means he'll probably get two goals, an assist, and a clean-sheet. Desailly. I never really liked him as a player, but thought at first why not. He's so far netted -2 points for the team. The midfield was already steady, if so far unproductive. But if Nyarko was going to languish on the bench indefinitely, why not transfer him out to get a cheaper player? Finally, Dodd plays for Southampton. Not good.
And now, after last weekend's shopping spree, the team netted but six points, if you take away Di Canio's goal since he was on my bench. Ziege is expected to start this week.
